Set on the quiet edge of Ranfurly, Trout ’n’ Trail Bed & Breakfast offers two spacious, private studio units surrounded by gardens and open views of the Maniototo hills. Each studio is designed for comfort, with everything you need to relax after a day exploring the Otago Central Rail Trail or fishing the nearby Taieri River.

Your host, Brooke, grew up locally and loves sharing what makes this region special. She’s nearby if you need anything, whether it’s directions or local dining tips. She’ll always respect your privacy and space.

FAQs

  • Each studio is $195 per night, including all bedding, towels, and a continental breakfast setup. There are no extra charges for linen or cleaning.

  • Studio 1 – Garden View:

    Sleeps up to three guests — one couple and an extra adult or child.

    Bed setup: one super-king bed and one additional king single, or three king singles on request.

    Studio 2 – Mountain View:

    Sleeps two guests — one couple.

    Bed setup: one super-king bed, or two king singles on request.

  • Yes — each studio includes self-service continental breakfast facilities with cereal, toast, milk, tea, and coffee so you can start the day at your own pace.

  • Yes — well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement.

    They must remain off the beds and furniture, and owners are responsible for any mess or damage.

    If you’re bringing a pet, please let Brooke know when you book.

  • Yes, both studios have free Wi-Fi, and phone reception is reliable across the property.

  • Yes — there’s a shared laundry area available for guest use with washing facilities and essentials provided.

  • Check-in: From 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm

    Check-out: By 10:00 am

    If you need flexibility, Brooke will do her best to accommodate you — just ask in advance.

  • Yes — there’s free on-site parking for vehicles and secure bike storage for guests riding the Otago Central Rail Trail.
